Premium Economy
Premium Economy seats are bigger and wider and there's a separate cabin dedicated to our Premium Economy passengers.

Cabin In-depth Overviews

Upper Class

Our new Upper Class Suite, with the biggest fully flat bed in business class, is available on all our flights for you to try. Since launch it has been causing quite a stir in the press, the Clubhouse and award ceremonies. Naturally, you still get all the benefits of Upper Class, from the onboard bar and inflight massage to the award-winning entertainment provided on your personal 10.4" wide screen TV. And your Upper Class Suite also offers in-seat power and provides ample storage space for books and magazines, while a large table is manoeuvrable enough to allow you to get up from your seat without having to stow it away.

THE BIGGEST FULLY FLAT BED IN BUSINESS

  • At 79.5" (202cm) long (82"/208cm on the upper deck) the Upper Class Suite has the biggest fully flat bed when compared with other airline's business class. Across the shoulders the bed is 33" (84cm) wide, over a foot wider than both BA's Club World and First Class beds.
  • The Upper Class Suite has a 22" (56cm) wide seat, making it not only wider than both BA's seats, but wider than many of our key competitors' first class seats. It also has full lumbar support and comes with its own ottoman, which doubles as a seat for a guest. So business can be done with a colleague or a drink can be shared with a friend.
  • The seat flips over to become a fully flat bed at the touch of a button. This allows for the two sides to serve completely separate functions - a fully contoured seat on one side covered in soft leather, while on the reverse the bed is built of firm, highly supportive foams covered in a breathable fabric for maximum sleeping comfort.
  • With a maximum of four Upper Class Suites across the width of the cabin (as opposed to BA's eight) every Upper Class Suite gives you your own personal space with direct access to the aisle - even the window seats. And all of the seats face forward.

THE AWARD WINNING UPPER CLASS SUITE CABIN

  • Sleep - And stretch. At the touch of a button the seat flips over to become the biggest fully flat bed in business. Every seat has aisle access so there's no stepping over your neighbour.
  • Work - Every Suite is fitted with laptop power access and a large table with plenty of room to spread out or have an informal meeting.
  • Play - With a multi-directional 10.4" TV screen, you're in your own private cinema. With a huge choice of films, TV programmes and games.
  • Dine - Order what you want when you want from our Freedom menu, or why not invite a friend to join you for a drink or a snack.
  • Relax - Put your feet up. Your soft leather seat reclines even for take off and your ottoman also acts as a seat for a guest or for beauty therapy treatments.

UPPER CLASS EXTRAS

  • Check In/Out - If you arrive at Heathrow, Gatwick or Johannesburg by chauffeur driven car or LimoBike, your chauffeur will check you in at our unique Drive Thru Check In so you can bypass the terminal and head straight for the Clubhouse. If you make your own way to the airport, we've got an efficient and friendly dedicated Upper Class check in area. Express hand baggage check in is also available at a number of airports, as are Fast Track passport and immigration channels.
  • Clubhouses - You'll find the expected and the unexpected in our unique Clubhouses ranging from beauty treatments, full business facilities, stylish bars and delectable dining to golf driving ranges.
  • Upper Class Snooze Pack - The new pack will replace the current amenity kit and includes the essentials that you will have come to expect such as socks, eyeshades and earplugs. In addition you have the choice of a wide range of extra items such as toothpaste, moisturiser, razors, sewing kits, collar stiffeners and more. We've done our best to think of everything; so whatever you feel you need to give you that peaceful slumber do not hesitate to ask one of our cabin crew for it.
  • The Best In In-seat Power Service - Whether you want to work or play whilst onboard, our in-seat power service will keep your gadgets going. The Business Pack provides power to over 700 different laptop models, while our Gaming Pack supports a full range of iPods and the Sony PSP.
  • Beauty Therapy Service - With our inflight beauty therapy you'll arrive at your destination looking good and feeling even better. Choose from a rejuvenating hand or back massage provided at your seat or in the dedicated therapy area.
  • Freedom Menu - In Upper Class there are no set meal times. You’re free to eat what you like, when you like. A three course meal after take off? Coming right up. A bacon sandwich and a fresh juice at the bar after a little snooze? No problem. Your choice from our Freedom menu will be individually and freshly prepared to your order and served up in style on fine china. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in a restaurant, not a plane.
  • In-flight Entertainment - We're dedicated to bringing you the very latest movies, comedy, sports and drama. So put your feet up on the ottoman, order an ice cream from the Freedom menu and let your favourite Hollywood stars entertain you. And, rolling out across the fleet, is the very latest video on-demand, which means you can pause, fast forward or rewind whatever you're watching, just like at home.

Premium Economy

We're very proud that Premium Economy won best in class at this year's Business Traveller awards but that isn't going to stop us making the best even better! The new Premium Economy seat is already available on selected flights and is currently rolling out across our London Heathrow fleet. The roll out will continue across our London Gatwick fleet from 2008.

PREMIUM SPACE
Our newly enhanced dedicated Premium Economy cabin has been designed to give you plenty of personal space. It's a place where you can relax, stretch out and unwind. We are very proud of our new Premium Economy seat, the biggest in its class with an increased seat width of 21 inches (equivalent to many other airlines' business class). This increased width makes it around 3 inches wider than many other airlines' Premium Economy seats and we want you to enjoy it, so we are aiming to install it across most of our fleet by the middle of 2007.

PREMIUM COMFORT
Covered in sumptuous purple leather the new Premium Economy seat, is now more luxurious than ever. With ample leg room (the seat pitch is 38 inches) and an additional two degrees of recline, you can happily stretch out and notice the extra comfort. We have used the latest research & technology to design an adjustable lumbar support, a flexible headrest and a new footrest to make your flight even more enjoyable. Combined with laptop power and a redesigned table, the new Premium Economy seat is the perfect place in which to work or relax.

PREMIUM DINING
 As soon as you're comfortable in your seat you'll be offered a preflight drink and from your menu you can choose one of three tempting meals, to be served on china dinnerware with stainless steel cutlery. You might choose to end with a liqueur and later in the flight we will tempt you with a selection of fresh fruit.

PREMIUM ECONOMY AMENITY KIT
Inspired by the traditional business class, the kit has been designed to compliment the new seat and service, bringing together the cabin styling and colours to produce a smart wallet, unique to Premium Economy. Inside are all the passenger essentials; a toothbrush & toothpaste, eyeshades, a stylish pen, socks and earplugs.

INDIVIDUAL SEATBACK TV
Every seat has its own seatback TV with a choice of channels to keep everyone entertained throughout the flight. We're dedicated to bringing you the very latest movies, comedy, sports, drama and kids shows. On many of our flights each seat also comes with its own video games console with up to 35 games. And, rolling out across the fleet, is the very latest video on-demand, which means you can pause, fast forward or rewind, just like at home.

DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINK
There is such a thing as a free lunch; we offer a free meal and free drinks on all our flights. You can forget the usual jokes about airline food, ours is delicious and with enough notice we can even tailor our catering for some specific dietary requirements that you may have i.e. Kosher, Vegetarian, Gluten-free and Medical Meals.

FREE AMENITY KIT
Fly with us in Economy and the little surprises start when you get to your seat and check out the free amenity kit. Out of the UK, it’s a trendy little backpack with everything you could want on your flight, including eyeshades, earplugs, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste.
